CuteMX was temporarily abandoned by GlobalSCAPE in summer 2000. It was brought back again in the fall, but abandoned for good in early 2001 as Napsters legal battle continued. The application is fully functional as a media player, but without the central server in place, CuteMX users can no longer connect to each other.
